Job summary

Penn Medicine’s Radiology team seeks a dedicated MR Imaging Technologist to perform 1.5 Tesla MRI procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. This role interfaces with patients, physicians, and staff to deliver compassionate care and accurate studies.

The candidate will operate MRI equipment, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to education and quality improvement within the department.

Qualifications

• Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required).
• MRI certified with ARRT within one year of hire date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required).

Responsibilities

• OPERATIONS: Operates 1.5 tesla GE MRI scanners and ensures patient safety during imaging.
• INTERPERSONAL: Communicates the hospital mission and maintains professional demeanor with patients and staff.
• EDUCATION: Supervises and teaches radiology students and ensures CPR certification is current.
• CLINICAL: Performs MRI exams with appropriate positioning and safety protocols; assesses changes in patient condition during exam.
• CLERICAL: Maintains patient records, ensures accurate study charges, and adheres to HIPAA.
