Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an MRI technologist to perform a variety of MR imaging procedures and uphold patient safety protocols. This role serves as the first line interface with patients to meet imaging needs.

Responsibilities include operating 1.5 tesla GE MRI scanners, maintaining quality control, and ensuring accurate, high-quality MRI studies while adhering to HIPAA and departmental standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient

Qualifications

Experience performing MR imaging with emphasis on safety and image quality.
Familiarity with MRI quality control and patient interaction.
Understanding of department protocols and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

Operate and manage 1.5T GE MRI scanners and ensure patient safety during imaging.
Provide courteous, professional interaction with patients and staff.
Adhere to hospital guidelines and quality standards in imaging procedures.
Support education and training of radiology students and staff.
Maintain equipment daily, troubleshoot basic MRI unit issues.
Follow safety protocols to protect patients from hazards.
