Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking an evening shift, full-time MRI Technologist to operate high-field MRI equipment, ensure patient safety, and deliver diagnostic quality images.

The ideal candidate will graduate from an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program, hold ARRT or ARMRIT certification, and obtain BLS within 14 days of hire. Advanced MRI certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-field MRI scanner and equipment to produce quality images.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Position patients and start IVs as needed.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and transmit to PACS.
• Operate the scanner to provide cross-sectional images for diagnosis.

• Perform complex tasks associated with operating high field strength magnets and equipment to produce quality images.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Position patients and start IVs as needed.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Operate the scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA or equivalent MRI School.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Advanced certification in MRI.
