Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK is seeking an MRI Technologist for an evening shift, full-time role. The position involves operating high-field MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Responsibilities include positioning patients, starting IVs as needed, handling contrast injections, and transmitting images to the PACS. Requires ARRT/ARMRIT or equivalent certification and BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduates of accredited two-year radiologic technology programs meet the minimum education requirement.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate the MRI scanner to produce cross-sectional images and data.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Position patients and start IVs as needed.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Perform high-field MRI to support diagnostic decisions and patient care.

• Perform complex tasks associated with operating high field strength magnets and equipment to produce quality images.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Position patients and start IVs as needed.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Operate the scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA or equivalent MRI School.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Advanced certification in MRI.
