Job summary

Ardent Health Services in Tulsa, OK is seeking an evening shift, full-time MRI Technologist to join Hillcrest Hospital South. You will operate high-field MRI equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the scan.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, IV initiation as needed, handling contrast injectors, and evaluating images for quality before PACS transmission. A supportive environment with opportunities for growth is offered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program (AMA-approved or equivalent).
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

• Perform complex tasks associated with operating high field strength magnets and equipment to produce quality images.
• Explain procedures and observe patients to ensure safety and comfort during the scan.
• Position patients and start IVs as needed.
• Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration.
• Evaluate images for technical quality, exposure, and transmit to PACS.
• Operate the scanner to provide cross-sectional images and data for medical treatment and diagnosis.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology training program in a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA or equivalent MRI School.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or American Registry of MRI Technologist (ARMRIT).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Advanced certification in MRI.
