Job summary

UF Health Central Florida in The Villages, FL seeks an MRI technologist to operate MRI equipment, assess patient needs, and support radiologists in delivering quality imaging and patient care.

The successful candidate will be a graduate of an MRI accredited program, hold or pursue ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, and possess BLS and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an MRI accredited school or accredited radiology school.
• Licensure/certification: If the individual has FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required within 1 year of hire.
• If the individual does not have FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the MRI technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice. The MRI technologist must be able to work independently in that department.
