FMOL Health in Jackson, MS seeks an MRI Technologist to arrange patients for MRI exams, operate equipment, and monitor safety. You will perform patient screening, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the MRI schedule.
This role requires ARRT MR certification and an Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology, with prior MRI experience preferred. On-call coverage and strict infection control are part of the job responsibilities.
MRI Tech 2 arranges patients for magnetic resonance examinations. Produces MRI images to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems. MRI technologist monitors and ensures safety of patient and all personnel prior to entering magnetic area. Performs patient screening by using established protocols for ferrous materials and medical device history, and for safe administration of contrast media. Utilizes departmental policy to perform safe operation of equipment and all functions of the job. Provides complete pre and post education to patients and family. Works under minimal supervision and may perform additional job duties.
MRI courses required; Associate's Degree or graduate of a radiologic technology program preferred.
Sufficient previous experience to have thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices, and procedures preferred, along with knowledge in physiology and human anatomy and MRI experience.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, R.T. (MR) (ARRT).
Current BLS.
Must demonstrate ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age, limitations, and planned procedures.
