Job summary

UF Health is seeking an MRI technologist to join our Radiology team in the United States. Under supervision of the Manager and working with radiologists, you will perform MRI examinations, ensure patient comfort, and maintain safety and quality standards.

You must work independently when appropriate and adhere to established practices. Qualifications include graduation from an MRI-accredited program or radiology school, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification within 1 year of hire if licensed, or

Qualifications

• Graduate of MRI accredited school or accredited radiology school.
• If licensed as FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer), ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required within 1 year of hire.
• If not licensed, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures according to established standards.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during examinations.
• Maintain documentation and equipment safety protocols.

Under the direction of the Manager and in association with the radiologists, the MRI technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice. The MRI technologist must be able to work independently in that department.

Qualifications

• Education: Must be a graduate of an MRI accredited school or a graduate of an accredited radiology School
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: If the individual has FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required within 1 year of hire
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: If the individual does not have FL Certified Radiologic Technologist (General Radiographer qualifications) license, ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required
• BLS
• Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required: Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
