Job description

Pay range: $30.86–$48.23 based on direct and relevant experience.

Job Overview

RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. This temporary/PRN position works days, evenings, and weekends as needed to operate MRI scanners and produce diagnostic images. The provider will deliver patient‑centered services with excellent customer care.

Responsibilities
  1. Screens patients before exam for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  2. Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, positioning them so the body parts can be appropriately scanned.
  3. Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body portions for physicians, with minimal supervision, providing patient support throughout the procedure.
  4. Adjusts MRI scan parameters correctly as needed.
  5. Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  6. Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including sanitization of equipment to promote safety for patients and team members.
  7. Maintains equipment in good working order, cleans, and disinfects equipment after each use.
  8. Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
Department Support
  1. Assists with maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  2. Monitors medical supply inventory and requests supplies as necessary.
  3. Assists in training new team members as needed.
Other Tasks

Completes other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography.
  • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business need.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Makes sufficient training and experience to competently perform MRI procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred
  • Bilingual.
