Responsibilities
  • Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries involving metal objects.
  • Preparing and administering contrast dyes.
  • Addressing patients’ concerns and ensuring comfort and calmness during scans.
  • Performing regular inspections of MRI equipment, scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Positioning patients and completing MRI scans according to physicians' specifications.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  • Active Radiologic Technology license in good standing with the State of Arkansas.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
Overview

As an MRI Technologist at CHI St. Vincent, you will operate MRI equipment, create scans as directed by physicians, screen and explain procedures to patients, and inspect and troubleshoot equipment. Collaboration with healthcare professionals and training junior technologists are also key responsibilities.

Successful MRI technologists should have a solid understanding of human anatomy and MRI safety procedures. The best candidates will be analytical and able to clearly explain complex information.
