RAYUS Radiology is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together!

As a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technologist, you will operate your assigned scanner(s) to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. You will provide patient-centered MRI services within professional standards and with excellent customer service. Each patient comes seeking answers. You will guide patients through this sometimes difficult process by kindly explaining the steps and addressing their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures.

This position is full-time, working day shift 4-10s with rotational Saturdays.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Patient MRI Imaging (90%)
  • Screens patients before exams for precautions or contradictions, using two patient identifiers to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for MRI procedures, describing the process and positioning them appropriately.
  • Performs routine and advanced MRI procedures on designated body parts for diagnosis and treatment, providing support by communicating throughout the procedure.
  • Adjusts MRI scan parameters as needed.
  • Follows physicians' orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations, and accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly, clean work area and equipment, promoting safety for patients and staff.
  • Ensures compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
  • MRI Department Support (5%)
    • Assists with updating imaging protocol manuals and software upgrades.
    • Monitors medical supplies and requests replenishments as necessary.
    • Supports training of new staff, providing technical expertise when applicable.
  • Other Tasks (5%)
    • Performs additional duties as assigned.
    Qualifications

    Minimum:

    • ARRT or ARMRIT registered technologist, current and in good standing, depending on state regulations and business needs.
    • Graduate of an AMA-approved radiography program.
    • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the applicable state, if required.
    • Current CPR certification.
    • Experience and training sufficient to perform MRI procedures independently.
    • Certification in imaging specialty.

    Preferred:

    • Bilingual abilities.
