Job Description: MRI Technologist

The MRI Tech performs Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment. They consider individual patient needs, including special or age-related considerations, and use their knowledge and judgment regarding imaging factors, techniques, and patient treatment to produce optimal images.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
• Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License or Temporary License upon hire.
• National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists within 6 months of hire.
• New graduates must have an OBMI temporary license and obtain a permanent license within 6 months of hire.
