Position Overview:

MedStar Health is seeking an experienced, registered Radiology Technologist to join our team. The MRI Technologist will operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain images for diagnosis and treatment purposes.

Primary Duties:

• Archive raw data to produce the best possible images. Develop films in automatic processors, ensuring diagnostic quality. Transfer images from discs or magnetic media.
• Prepare patients by ensuring they are free of objects that may interfere with procedures. Transfer, position, and instruct patients to achieve optimal diagnostic results as directed by physicians.
• Instruct staff and students on MRI equipment operation, filming, and technical procedures. Notify maintenance of equipment malfunctions and schedule examinations to ensure smooth workflow and optimal utilization.
• Operate control consoles during scans, select appropriate imaging techniques, and monitor data acquisition. Enter patient data at the start and oversee the procedure.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of related experience (e.g., CT scan)
• ARRT Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Licensed by the State of Maryland or certified by ARDMS or ARRT in Magnetic Resonance (MR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

The position offers a hiring range of $34.98 - $56.85 per hour.
