Job summary

Akumin is seeking a part-time MRI Technologist for our Laurinburg, NC facility. The role focuses on regional responsibility for patient safety and performing high-quality MR studies, with communication to radiologists as needed.

Responsibilities include pre-screening for contraindications, producing diagnostic images, arranging supplies, and assisting in transport prep. Required ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registrations, CPR, and active state licensure as applicable.

Qualifications

  • ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registrations required or eligible.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Active state Radiologic/ MRI Technologist license if applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure patient safety and high-quality MR imaging.
  • Communicate effectively with radiologists and customers.
  • Assist in pre-screening and prep for transport
  • Train new technologists or patient coordinators as needed.

We are currently hiring for an MRI Technologist at our Laurinburg, NC facility. This will be a part time position.

Regional resource responsible for patient safety and the performance of high quality MR studies. Insures effective communication with customers, including radiologists as necessary. In some instances, trains new technologists and/or Patient Coordinators.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
  • Produces high quality diagnostic images.
  • Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
  • Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
  • Trains new technologist and/or PC's
Position Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
  • State License Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
  • Technologists performing mid-day moves
  • State license, as required.
  • CPR certification.
  • Active state driver’s license.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
