Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Lexington, KY location to perform diagnostic imaging with a patient-centered approach. You will ensure safety, obtain quality images, and collaborate with radiologists and the care team.

The ideal candidate is ARRT or NMTCB/ARDMS registered, holds a state license, CPR certified, and meets education requirements. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS.
• State License.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety, pre-screen for contraindications, aseptic technique.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
• Procure supplies, clean unit, assist with patient transport preparation.
• Communicate clearly with patients and radiologists.
• Provide training to new technologists and PC staff.

We are currently hiring for a MRI Technologist at our Lexington, KY location.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high-quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supply, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS
• State License

Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.

• Technologists performing mid-day moves
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver's license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
