Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Wellington, FL facility. You will perform MRI scans, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining compassionate patient care.

The role requires ARRT or equivalent registry, state licensure as applicable, CPR certification, and strong communication with patients and radiologists. This is a part-time, on-site position with flexible scheduling and opportunities for cross-training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registry preferred.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification required.
• Active state driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Produce high quality diagnostic images.
• Responsible for patient safety and pre-screening.
• Orders supplies and assist in preparing for transport.
• Communicate with patients and radiologists.
• Train new technologists and PCs.

OurMRItechnologistsuse exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety and satisfaction every step of the way.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.

• Produces high quality diagnostic images.

• Orders supplies, cleans unit, assist in preparing for transporton a daily basis.

• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists.

• Trains new technologist and/or PC's

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

• Registered Technologists by the ARRT, NMTCB or ARDMS

• State License, as required.

• Technologists performingmid-daymoves

• CPR certification.

• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements:

• Associate's Degreeor Equivalent Experience

• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
