MRI Technologist - FT Evenings

Hourly Base Rate: $36.43 - $57.01
Shift: Varies
Hours Per Week: 40 hours/week, 10-hour shifts plus Rotating Call

Job Summary:

  • Under the supervision of the lead MRI tech, the department director and interpreting physician, performs computer-assisted scanning procedures in MRI.
  • Included is the ability to properly position the patient, knowledge of various computer programs, the scanning protocols and coils needed for each case, as well as proper administration/monitoring of IV contrast and contrast injectors as well as safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Current ARRT registry or ARMRIT certification and Oregon State licensure.
  • Advanced registry in MRI required within one year.
  • Current BLS certification required.
  • Prior experience in ACR accreditation preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in MRI preferred, preferably in a hospital setting or has completed McKenzie Willamette Medical Center's clinical training requirements.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and job-specific competencies.
  • Must be able to work without supervision, be motivated, and a self-starter.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal relations skills and high sensibility to the needs of others; including the ability to communicate with patients and their families, physicians, supervisors, peers, volunteers and other customers.
