Job summary

Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist for the evening shift. The MRI Tech performs magnetic resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment, taking into account an individual patient’s special needs to produce optimal images.

Qualifications

• Oregon MRI licensure required at hire or temporary licensure with transition plan.
• BLS current upon hire.
• ARRT MRI certification or ARRT MRI technologist cert within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations per physician orders.
• Operate MRI equipment with attention to patient needs and safety.
• Apply imaging factors and techniques to produce optimal images.

The MRI Tech performs magnetic resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment, taking into account an individual patient’s special or age‑related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.

Required Qualifications

• Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License upon hire (1) Or
• Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Temporary License upon hire (1)
• New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
• National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire Or
• National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists within 6 months (180 days) of hire

Salary

Pay Range: $46.81 – $72.66 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
