Job summary

Providence St Vincent Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI examinations per physician orders, with a focus on safety reviews for implant devices and approving patients for MRI scheduling. MRI Technologist at Providence St Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR.

Part-Time/Variable Shift

$4,000Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

This is an unique role strictly for working up devices, performing safety reviews of implants, and approving patients with implanted devices for MRI scheduling.

The MRI Tech performs Magnetic Resonance examinations according to physician orders, utilizing sophisticated MRI equipment, taking into account an individual patient special or age-related needs. Utilizes knowledge and judgment in regard to imaging factors, imaging technique and patient treatment needed to produce optimal images.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
  • Upon hire: Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist License or
  • Upon hire: Oregon Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist Temporary License.
  • New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
