Job summary

St. Lawrence Health System is seeking a per diem MRI Technologist to operate MRI equipment and support systems at Canton Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam, NY. The role follows approved techniques, regulatory standards, and departmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
• ARRT or ARMRIT registration.
• NYS IV certification per Article 35.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures per anatomical, positioning, and MRI techniques.
• Assist Radiologist in interventional MRI procedures and provide images for interpretation.
• Ensure MRI safety, patient education, screening, and infection control.
• Adhere to policies on patient ID, consent, order verification, and QA/QC procedures.
• Maintain image quality, documentation, and MRI equipment safety.

Job Title: MRI Tech - RegisteredStatus: Per DiemDepartment: Imaging ServicesLocation: Canton Potsdam Hospital - 50 Leroy Street Potsdam, NY 13676Schedule: Days/Evening, M-F, 12hrs, 630am-7pm, on call requirementSUMMARY:Operates MRI equipment and ancillary support systems to perform MRI procedures per provider orders. This is in accordance with approved techniques, policies and regulatory standards as established by regulatory agencies, standards and policies set forth by the organization. Adheres to the professional standards of the NYS Department of Health and American Registry of Radiologic Technologist.RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs MRI procedures by utilizing the principles and knowledge of anatomy, positioning and MRI techniques. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
