Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas County is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging as part of a multidisciplinary radiology team. The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, BLS certification, ARRT MR or ARMRIT, Texas certification, and at least 1 year of work experience.

ARRT(R) license within 1 year may be required. Will assist with venipuncture and sedation as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification is required.
• Texas Department of State Health certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience in the field.
• If not ARRT(MR), employee will be required to obtain ARRT(MR) license within 1 year of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Communicate clearly and openly with patients and team.
• Be accountable for performance and patient safety.
• Assist Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.
• Support imaging procedures including MRI imaging across routine and interventional protocols.

Education

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program

Current Basic Life Support certification

ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification

Texas Department of State Health certification

Your Job Requirements

• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
