Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary radiology team. The position includes venipuncture and assisting Radiologists and nurses with sedation cases as needed.

Ideal candidates are graduates of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program with ARRT MR/ARMRIT certification or eligibility, Texas State Health certification, and at least 1 year of experience;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification or ARRT(R) eligibility with license within 1 year of orientation.
• Texas Department of State Health certification required.
• 1 year work experience required or ARRT(R) eligibility with MR license within 1 year of orientation.

In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists« certification - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
