Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging, and to assist radiologists and nurses with sedation cases.

Responsibilities include venipuncture when indicated, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and a focus on patient experience and throughput in a high-quality imaging department.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Work Experience: 1 year required.
• Or ARRT (R); license transition to MR must be done within 1 year of orientation.

Job Description Your Job: In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you‘ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist« certification - ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
