Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center seeks an experienced MRI Technologist for PRN shift coverage including days and evenings. The role performs routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging, conducts venipuncture when indicated, and supports the Radiologist and radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Requirements include ARRT MRI certification or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain MR within 1 year, graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, BLS, Texas license, and at least 1 year

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current Basic Life Support certification.
• ARRT MR certification (or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain MR within 1 year).
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience.

Job Description

This is a PRN role for shift coverage days and evening shifts. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current Basic Life Support certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists« certification - ARRT (MR)
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year required
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
