Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI exams under supervision and provide patient care across age groups, from neonatal to geriatric. The role emphasizes adherence to imaging standards and teamwork within radiology.

Candidates should have AMA approved Radiologic Technology training or JRCERT accreditation, ARDMS/ARRT registration, and BCLS certification. Experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 6 months as MRI Technologist preferred.
• ARDMS or ARRT Radiography registration required; BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist.
• Provide patient care to all age groups including neonatal, pediatrics, adult and geriatrics.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.
