Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform diagnostic MRI examinations under Radiologist oversight. You will provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations and maintain equipment to ensure safety and imaging quality.

Required AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT training, ARRT Radiography registration at hire, and BCLS certification.

Qualifications

• AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited training required.
• ARRT Radiography registration required at hire.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist.
• Provide patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric populations.
• Operate and maintain MRI equipment, ensuring safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologists utilize the resonant frequency properties of atoms within a magnetic field to image anatomic and/or physiologic conditions of the body to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease. MR technologists perform diagnostic magnetic resonance examinations in accordance with all prescribed standards under the direct guidance of the supervising Radiologist. MR Technologists provide patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics.

• an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program Required

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 6 months as an MRI Technologist Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• (R) ARDMS or ARRT - Radiographer Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography (R) Upon Hire Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required
