Job summary

Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance PLLC seeks an MRI Tech Aide to support the MRI department with patient flow, registration, and PACS-related tasks. You will bridge patients, technologists, and scheduling staff to ensure smooth operations and compassionate service.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, timely packet processing, and courteous patient interactions in a busy clinical setting. Prior MRI/X-ray or medical office experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous MRI, X-ray, or medical office experience preferred.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a focus on patient service.
• Flexibility & Problem Solving: Positive attitude, adaptability, and issue resolution.
• Stress Management: Maintain composure in a fast-paced clinical setting.
• Technical Skills: Strong computer proficiency and telephone etiquette.
• Safety: Medically cleared and safe to work in an MRI environment (Zone IV/III).

Responsibilities

• Patient Reception: Greets patients warmly as they enter the MRI suite.
• Check-In & Registration: Verifies demographics and insurance are up to date.
• Communications: Answers department calls and responds to Teams messages promptly.
• Packet & Order Management: Processes MRI order packets in athenaOne.
• Schedule Preparation: Prepares next-day schedules with complete MRI packets.
• Image Management: Burns CDs/disks and imports outside imaging.
• PACS Administration: Navigates PACS platforms (Joints PACS, McKesson).
• Clinical Support: Assists with pre-screening and room turnover.
• Department Oversight: Collaborates with MRI Supervisor on daily issues.
• Linens & Supplies: Maintains laundry supplies and related tasks.
• Time Management: Manages time and resources to complete tasks punctually.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
