Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience: MRI, X-ray, or medical office experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with a strong focus on providing outstanding patient service.
• Positive attitude with the ability to remain flexible, adapt to workplace changes, problem-solve, and resolve issues effectively.
• Ability to maintain composure and efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong computer proficiency and telephone etiquette.
• Medically cleared and safe to work in an MRI environment (Zone IV/Zone III compliance).

Responsibilities

• Greets patients as they enter the MRI suite in a warm, welcoming manner.
• Checks in patients and confirms demographic and insurance information.
• Answers incoming department phone calls and responds to messages promptly and courteously.
• Monitors and completes MRI order packet requests in athenaOne.
• Prepares next-day schedules, ensures packets are complete and prior images available for radiologist reading.
• Burns CDs/disks and imports outside imaging.
• Pushes images to PACS platforms and navigates across PACS systems.
• Assists with patient pre-screening and room turnover as needed.
• Collaborates with MRI Supervisor to address operational issues.
• Maintains linens and supplies, including washing, drying, and folding items as needed.
• Demonstrates accountability in time management and task completion.
