Job summary

GE HealthCare in the United States is seeking a qualified engineer to lead the development and manufacturing support for MRI magnet assembly processes. You will design improvements to enhance performance, reliability, and cost, and work with internal and external suppliers to integrate global activities.

You will coordinate cross-functional design, analysis, and testing, establish engineering specifications, and contribute to product safety and quality initiatives, with a focus on scalable

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with manufacturing or engineering product development.
• Experience with design, development and manufacturing of complex fabricated assemblies is desirable.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment fabrication, assembly technology, materials tech and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Provide creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues for MRI magnets.
• Evaluate new developments in assembly, welding, brazing, and cryogenic tooling and processes.
• Provide technical support and evaluate alternative materials and processes to support supply chain needs.
• Participate in product development life cycle from concept to manufacturing ramp-up and production support.
• Coordinate cross-functional design, analysis, and testing of MRI magnets projects.
• Support the manufacturing plant and Installed Base; contribute to safety, cost-out, and quality enhancement.
