GE HealthCare in the United States seeks an experienced Lead Magnet Development Engineer to develop and optimize MRI magnet assembly processes for new products and improvements. You will bridge engineering design with manufacturing execution, translating designs into safe, reliable, and cost-effective processes.
You will lead process development, tooling, DFM initiatives, and interdepartmental collaborations to ensure successful launches and sustained operations across the MRI magnet lifecycle.

This role serves as a key bridge between engineering design and manufacturing execution, ensuring MRI magnet designs are successfully translated into safe, reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
The Lead Magnet Development Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing MRI magnet assembly processes that support new product introductions and existing product improvements. This role serves as a key bridge between engineering design and manufacturing execution, ensuring MRI magnet designs are successfully translated into safe, reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective products.
The engineer will lead assembly process development, tooling design, manufacturing readiness activities, product validation, and production support efforts across the MRI magnet product lifecycle. Working closely with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and global teams, this individual will drive process innovation, improve operational efficiency, and support the successful launch and sustainment of MRI magnet products.
The ideal candidate brings a strong manufacturing and assembly background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in a highly collaborative environment.
