Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT seeks an experienced Material Review Engineer to lead disposition of nonconforming aerospace hardware. You will apply MRB procedures, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical decisions to maintain product integrity and safety.

Required is a STEM degree with substantial aerospace experience and the ability to obtain MRE certification. Domestic and international travel up to 10% is expected, with an Alternate Work Week schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating hardware nonconformances and issuing dispositions.
• Background in aerospace design, structures, manufacturing or quality engineering.
• Ability to obtain MRE certification through MRB training.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of MRB procedures and ensure adherence to processes.
• Evaluate hardware nonconformances and provide technically sound dispositions.
• Own technical decisions to ensure product integrity, safety, and quality.
• Evaluate, investigate, and analyze nonconforming hardware.
• Support development of rework and repair solutions.
• Support manufacturing operations through the disposition process.
• Balance capabilities with engineering requirements for risk-based dispositions.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Operations, and suppliers.
• Travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
• Work Friday-Sunday, 6:00 AM-6:00 PM under Alternate Work Week.
