Job summary

PRO-EMPLOYMENT SERVICES LLC is seeking a Groundsman/tree worker in Henderson, NV. You will support foremen and manage setup, cleaning, and maintenance of work sites during tree service operations.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, preparing equipment, assisting with climbing and pruning, and ensuring safe, efficient operation of power tools and site security. A valid driver's license is required and safety meetings are encouraged.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of a variety of tree and palm types.
• Skills in operation of chainsaw, hand saw, stump grinder and chipper machinery.
• Ability in verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of handsaws, pruning tools, chainsaws, and other devices.
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Possession of a valid driver's license.
• First aid/AED certification recommended but not required.
• Attend and participate in safety meetings.
• Must demonstrate general flexibility, strength, stamina, and ability to lift or control 60 pounds or more as needed.
• Must adhere to and perform duties in compliance with safety protocols and for the safety and security of self and other team members.
• Must report all incidents of accident or injury or potential thereof.
• Must acknowledge, accept, and perform assigned duties in compliance with the company’s employee handbook.

Job description

Job Details: Job Location: Legal Address - Henderson, NV 89074, The Groundsman/tree worker works under the supervision of foreman and general manager, is responsible for the set-up, cleaning, and maintenance of work sites during tree service operations. Inspects, prepares, and manages vehicles, tools, and equipment to prepare and handle daily work assignments. Assists and supports tree climbing, pruning operations, and finalizing clean up and site security of work locations.

Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities: (other duties may be assigned)

• Inspects assigned vehicles for fluid levels and inspection of safety indicators and protection shields, barriers, or other equipment.
• Participates in pre-climb work to define work objectives and takes appropriate steps to perform preparations of work site and needed equipment to execute the work.
• Inspect, prepare, oil, and fuel chainsaws, or other power equipment.
• Secures and protects property by moving or protecting landscape or furniture assets.
• Clean up and remove debris, brush, and other waste materials from pruning operations.
• Prepare and or perform stump grinding operations
• Operates trucks, trailers, chipper, stump grinder and other power equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Secures work site with cones, warning devices or protective materials to ensure safe operation during performance of work objectives.
• Reviews work site after job completion to ensure satisfactory clean up, replacement of moved items, closure of gates etc., collection of tools and equipment and any other areas relating to customer satisfaction with the work performed.
