Job summary

Smith Landscaping, Inc. is seeking a full-time Mowing Foreman to service residential and commercial properties in Ohio. The role leads mowing crews, manages equipment, and ensures safety and high-quality results.

You will coordinate with clients and division managers to meet service expectations and schedules, and you’ll help grow the company’s trusted local reputation. Candidates should have at least 3 years of field experience or relevant education, a clean driving record, and be able to pass

Responsibilities

• Oversee mowing practices, supervise team members and equipment.
• Understand client wants, schedule of services, and communicate effectively with clients.
• Exceed clients’ expectations with quality workmanship and professionalism.
• Maintain time management and meet service goals with the team.
• Operate and maintain equipment and diagnose turf problems.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to teams and clients.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of turf grasses, proper mowing practices, equipment
• Able to identify weeds, insect, and disease problems
• Minimum of 3 years experience in the field or applicable education

• Know the clients’ wants, needs, desires and their schedule of services (turf treatments, upcoming bed maintenance) and maintain good communication with them

• Be prepared for all contingencies (weather, personnel, equipment)
• Understand time management practices and how to apply them
• Understand the goals, tasks, and concerns of team members
• Network within Property Management Department and office (be available)

• Operate and maintain equipment
• Diagnose and research all turf problems
• Trouble shoot any problems or concerns of the teams or the client and provide solutions

The Mowing Foreman will report to the General Manager.
