U-Haul is seeking a General Manager to lead a moving and storage center, driving profitability and efficiency. You will hire and mentor staff, manage inventory, and oversee equipment maintenance to ensure top-notch service.

The role involves supervising operations, handling budgets, and solving problems as they arise in a fast-paced environment. Weekend/holiday availability and strong organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service industry with P&L responsibility
• Strong computer skills and data handling
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Experience managing high-volume retail with P&L accountability
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Able to work weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean, well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Ensure customers receive high levels of care.
• Track fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Maintain a clean, secure work environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
