Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a responsible General Manager to run one of our moving and storage centers. You will be responsible for keeping the center profitable and efficient by hiring effective staff, tracking inventory and managing equipment, and solving problems as they arise.

The role includes extensive benefits, training, and opportunities for advancement. You will lead an on-site team, manage the budget, and ensure customers receive the highest level of care.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Organizational expertise.
• Management proficiency in a high-volume retail operation with profit and loss (P&L) accountability.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage one moving and storage center to be profitable and efficient.
• Hire and mentor new team members and manage the personnel budget.
• Track and itemize inventory and maintain equipment.
• Ensure customers receive the highest level of care and safety compliance.
• Perform profit/loss analyses and manage center finances.
