Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a responsible General Manager to run a moving and storage center. You will hire, train and manage staff, oversee inventory, and ensure the center stays profitable and efficient in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves fleet maintenance, P&L analyses, customer service excellence, and compliance with safety protocols. Weekend and holiday availability is required; a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service with P&L responsibility.
• Strong computer skills and organizational abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; weekend and holiday availability.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor the premises, and maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
