Job summary

Memorial Maintenance, LLC is seeking a dedicated Make Ready Technician to ensure vacant units are move-in ready with thorough maintenance and repairs. The role involves drywall, painting, plumbing, and general upkeep to create welcoming spaces for new residents, in collaboration with property management.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (or equivalent) with maintenance training, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work physically demanding tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications in maintenance preferred.
• Proven experience in property maintenance or related field is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail; thorough in completing tasks.
• Strong communication skills; able to work well in a team and independently.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between properties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units to identify repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Perform general maintenance: drywall repair, painting, plumbing fixes to prepare units for new residents.
• Clean and sanitize units to meet cleanliness and safety standards before move-in.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or services.
• Assist in inventory management of supplies for make-ready processes.
• Communicate with property management regarding status of make-ready units and issues.
• Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
