Job summary

HNTB in Kansas City, MO is seeking engineers to contribute to movable bridge projects. You will work under senior engineers to design, inspect, and support the maintenance of machinery systems for movable bridges nationwide.

A Bachelor’s in Engineering is required, with preferred credentials in advanced degrees or EIT status. Responsibilities include preparing reports, estimates, and design documents, plus field data collection and design development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and problem solving.
• Familiarity with MS Office; exposure to MicroStation/AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work within the schedule and hours provided.
• Supports the preparation and modification of project reports, plans, designs, and calculations.
• Assists in the preparation of project quantity and cost estimates.
• Assists engineering teams with organization and administrative support of design files.
• Supports engineering teams with research, data collection, field investigations, development, and design of projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned
