Job summary

The Port of New Orleans is looking for a Port Facility Maintenance Specialist 1, 2, or 3 to join our Bridge Maintenance team. You will perform mechanical, electrical, and structural maintenance to keep movable bridges safe, reliable, and operational. No experience or training is required.

Appointment types include Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment, with a 40-hour work week and overtime as needed. Premium pay up to $1.50 per hour applies.

Qualifications

• No experience or training is required.
• Maintain and repair four movable bridges including mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
• Support safe bridge operations through inspections, communication with bridge operators, and call-out response.
