Job summary

Mt. Rose Development Company in Reno, NV is seeking a shuttle bus driver to safely operate the shuttle between Mt.

Rose’s base lodges and to occasionally transport inventory and staff across the mountain. You will hold a Class C Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement, maintain a clean driving record, and navigate snowy mountain roads while delivering excellent guest service and ensuring vehicle safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Valid Class C Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement.
• Driving experience in snowy or icy mountain conditions preferred.
• Clean driving record for the last 5 years.
• Familiar with automatic transmissions and techniques to minimize wear on vehicles in mountainous terrain.
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and prioritize tasks.
• Shovel any necessary areas to ensure customer and staff safety.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the shuttle bus with impeccable driving habits and remaining alert to surroundings.
• Regularly inspect the shuttle bus to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Maintain fluid levels, tire pressure, lights, signals and overall cleanliness of the bus.
• Report mechanical issues or abnormal performance to Vehicle Maintenance.
• Greet guests warmly and provide information about the resort.
• Use SNOWsat to check equipment in and out and report issues accordingly.
• Assist with other duties such as trash removal and snow/shovel duties as required.
