Job summary

Mt Southington Restaurant & Lounge Inc. seeks a Mountain Room Crew Member to serve as a server, runner, and busser throughout shifts, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests.

You will greet guests, take orders, deliver food, maintain cleanliness, assist the kitchen during busy periods, handle payments, and help reset tables. Flexible schedule and prior restaurant experience are a plus.

Position SummaryThe Mountain Room Crew Member serves as a server, runner, and busser throughout their shift. The Mountain Room Crew is vital to ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests by maintaining cleanliness, delivering food, and providing excellent customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesGreet guests promptly and with a friendly attitudeTake food and beverage orders, provide menu recommendations, and ensure order accuracyServe food and beverages efficiently and in a timely mannerCommunicate any special requests or dietary restrictions to kitchen and serversAssist kitchen during busy periods with basic prep and organizationMonitor and attend to guest needs during their dining experienceHandle payments and close out checks accuratelyMaintain a clean and organized dining area and workspaceClear and reset tables quickly between guestsEnsure tables, chairs, and floors are clean and presentableEnsure walkways are clear from tripping hazards, politely informing guests of designated bag areasRemove trash and food waste from dining areaRestock stations with necessary supplies including utensils, napkins, and glasswareComplete required training as assigned by mountain leadershipAccurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and promptly resolve any discrepancies prior to the end of each pay periodOther duties as assigned by mountain leadershipQualificationsStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at oncePositive attitude and passion for hospitalityPrevious restaurant experience is a plus, but not requiredFlexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidaysMust be eligible to work in the United StatesSuccessful completion of background checkWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to stand for extended periods of time and perform repetitive physical tasksAbility to lift up to 25 lbsCompensation & BenefitsCompensation: $17.50/hourBenefits: Complimentary ski/ride access for the duration of employment and employee discounts on food and beverages at participating locations (subject to mountain policy)
