Mt Southington Restaurant & Lounge Inc is seeking a Mountain Room Cook to prepare high-quality food in a fast-paced setting, serving guests and events. You will follow standardized recipes, set up stations, and ensure quick, accurate service while maintaining safety and cleanliness.

The role requires teamwork with kitchen and front-of-house staff, adherence to health guidelines, and reliable attendance including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Background check required.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes.
• Set-up and stock stations with necessary supplies.
• Ensure food is prepared quickly and accurately during peak service times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen prep areas.
• Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
• Assist with inventory rotation (FIFO) and proper food storage.
• Follow all health department and food safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house staff for smooth service.
• Complete required training as assigned by mountain leadership.
• Accurately record all hours worked, ensure time entries are complete, and resolve discrepancies prior to the end of each pay period.
• Other duties as assigned by mountain leadership.
