Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska is seeking Mountain Host professionals to join our team. This role emphasizes proactive guest relations, safety culture, and a friendly mountain presence as you interact with guests, staff and departments.

You will lead mountain tours, assist guests, manage lift areas during busy times, and help maintain a welcoming environment amid severe weather. A strong communicator with alpine spirit will thrive in this fast-paced resort setting.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude that supports Alyeska’s commitment to quality guest service.
• Thorough knowledge of Alyeska Resort – including on-mountain services, ski trails, and lifts.
• Excellent skiing ability and capability to ski or snowboard in a variety of snow conditions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Build a culture of safety and fun on the mountain.
• Perform duties in severe weather (winds, heavy snow, low visibility).
• Assist guests with directions, information, and public relations.
• Set up ski information boards, racks, and picnic tables.
• Remove snow with shovels or snow blowers.
• Assist with lift-down situations and line control at lifts.
• Lead 1-hour mountain tours twice daily.
• Be an ambassador at lift locations to promote Alyeska Resort.
• Monitor for safety and coordinate with mountain dispatch and ski patrol.
