Job summary

Alyeska Resort in Girdwood, Alaska, seeks a Black Diamond Club Host to deliver exceptional experiences for our distinguished guests. You will work closely with the Guest Experience Manager to create personalized, seamless service on the Club Floor.

The role emphasizes warm hospitality, discretion, and collaboration with resort departments to ensure flawless guest interactions and a superb ambiance in the Club Lounge.

Qualifications

• Proven hospitality experience preferred.
• Previous hotel or luxury guest service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• English proficiency; additional languages are a plus.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Alaska; TAP certified; Food Handlers card.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism and assist with check-in.
• Establish personal rapport and provide personalized guest interactions.
• Ensure discretion when handling guest requests and confidentiality.
• Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations for Club Floor guests.
• Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager and resort teams.
• Maintain clear communication with all departments during all phases of stay.
• Provide recommendations for local attractions, dining, and events.
• Serve as the Club Floor point of contact and address concerns promptly.
• Keep Club Lounge and corridors immaculate, coordinating with Housekeeping.
• Ensure timely delivery of morning, afternoon, and evening offerings.

We’re looking for Black Diamond Club Host professionals to join our team in Girdwood, Alaska.

What You’ll Do

As a Black Diamond Club Host you’ll be one of the key ambassadors for our Club floor; working jointly with the Guest Experience Manager, creating exceptional and personalized experiences for our distinguished guests. Your duties will include:

• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism upon arrival; ensuring a seamless check-in.
• Establish personal rapport with guests through personalized and authentic interactions.
• Ensure discretion and confidentiality when handling guest request.
• Anticipate preferences and exceed the needs and expectations of our Club Floor guests.
• Collaborate with the Guest Experience Manager and all Resort verticals.
• Maintain clear and effective communication with all departments before, during and after guest departure.
• Provide personalized recommendations and assistance in booking local attractions, dining, entertainment and special events.
• Acts as the point of contact for all Club Floor guests; addressing any concerns immediately with all stakeholders and required leadership.
• Ensure the Club Lounge and Club Corridors are always kept immaculate, liaising with Housekeeping team to maintain the ambiance and overall guest experience.
• Ensure the timely delivery of morning, afternoon and evening offerings in the Club Lounge. Quality is paramount in our presentation.

What We Need

• Proven hospitality experience is preferred.
• Previous hotel, luxury, or guest service experience typically acquired in a Full-Service Hotel or comparable Hospitality Operations experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with local attractions and vendors is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication with all levels of employees and guests.
• High school diploma, general education degree, related field or international equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are always celebrated.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Alaska, Tap certified, Food Handlers card.
