Job summary

Willamette Pass Resort is seeking a Dispatch and Ski Patrol support professional to act as the communications hub on the mountain. You’ll coordinate lift status, radio and phone traffic, and emergency communications, while assisting Ski Patrol with basic first aid during quieter periods.

Ideal candidates are calm under pressure, organized, and strong communicators who can juggle radio, phone, and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Age 18+ with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current First Aid/CPR certification, or willingness to obtain before start.
• Calm under pressure with good judgment.
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
• Comfort with basic computers; training provided on dispatch system.
• No prior radio experience required; training will be provided.
• Availability for early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep the mountain connected—radio checks, lift status, and relaying information between departments all day.
• Be the point of contact for emergencies, including calling 911 when needed, working with Ski Patrol and management.
• Keep clear records—daily logs, incident reports, and radio logs.
• Support Ski Patrol with basic first aid and walk-in patient care during slower periods.
• Inform guests of mountain status updates with Marketing team.
• Assist around the dispatch desk and Patrol building as needed.
