Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Service Department operations and ensure policies, procedures, and customer-service standards are followed.
• Plan and manage department workflow, technician capacity, scheduling, and coordination among Advisors, Technicians, Parts, Sales, Warranty Admin, and Expeditor.
• Review department performance metrics such as productivity, labor sales, parts-to-labor, and open repair orders.
• Resolve customer-service escalations, disputed repairs, and pricing or storage issues requiring management input.
• Coordinate warranty, recall, service-action, and goodwill matters with Warranty Admin and OEMs.
• Ensure posted retail labor rates are reviewed and eligible warranty labor-rate increases pursued.
• Maintain shop organization, safety, cleanliness, and professional appearance in the Service Department.
• Review repair-order quality and financial controls before final closure.
• Oversee storage decisions in coordination with General Manager and document exceptions.
• Coach Department personnel and elevate operational or customer issues to leadership.
