Job summary

The State of Missouri Department of Revenue seeks a mid-level Customer Service Representative to review and process documents and applications related to motor vehicle transactions. You’ll explain laws, search records, and clearly communicate information to customers and contracted offices, in person or by phone.

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years in clerical work with at least two years in licensing, registration, or tax-related duties, and strong typing, detail orientation, and computer

Qualifications

• Four or more years of experience in clerical or general office support work, of which two or more years must have included licensing, registration, collections, tax preparation, tax processing, accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, or closely related work.

Responsibilities

• Explain laws, regulations, and procedures
• Search computerized records and files
• Accurately communicate the requested information to customers or contracted offices either in person or on the telephone
• Process requests concerning all phases of motor vehicle transactions
• Collect, prepare, and analyze facts concerning current business processes
