Job summary

The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) in Jacksonville, FL, is seeking an Assistant Manager, Motor Transport to oversee installation and operation of Motor Transport field maintenance shops, field recovery, and related teams. You will supervise, coordinate, and guide workers to ensure efficient use of equipment, facilities, and personnel.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in a related discipline or equivalent combination of training/experience.
• Eight years of related work experience including four years supervisory in a motor transport environment.
• Completed the motor transport maintenance officer course or equivalent.
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements.
• Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare parts.
• Ability to analyze maintenance/repair or operation to determine improvement methods.
• Ability to comply with established methods, quality standards, and schedules.
• Strong written and oral communication.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance and CAC eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation and operation of Motor Transport shops, field recovery, and control of recovery teams.
• Coordinate activities of workers in servicing, storing and repairing Motor Transport equipment to optimize use of assets and personnel.
• Review expenditure and reports to improve efficiency and advise management on requirements.
• Assist in formulating administrative and operations policies and ensure compliance with safety and government regulations.
