Sulzer is seeking a Motor & Generator Winder to perform winding, rewinding, insulation, connection, and testing on heavy-industrial motors, generators, armatures, rotors, stators, fields, and related equipment. The role develops through hands-on winders and may include field service, mentoring, and documentation across multiple industries.

Qualifications

• Electrical and mechanical aptitude with strong hand skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
• Willingness to learn specialized rewind processes and testing procedures.

Responsibilities

• Remove windings, insulation systems, and components for rewind or repair.
• Prepare stators/rotors/fields for winding; bond, test, and inspect windings.
• Perform or support electrical tests such as megger, surge, hipot, and power-factor testing.
• Document winding data, including coil counts, turns, wire size, and test results.
• Follow safety and shop procedures; maintain clean work areas.
