Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in rewinding AC and DC electric motors.
• Experience with winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles.
• Proficient math including fractions and basic arithmetic.
• Able to read, write and understand work instructions.
• Understand and follow safety procedures and training.
• Operate and perform VPI as part of job duties.
• Show initiative, sound judgment, and comply with standards.
• Operate machinery and hoists safely.

Responsibilities

• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment.
• Dismantle or strip damaged equipment, including media blasting.
• Inspect equipment for winding damage and electrical faults.
• Document data on unit electrical characteristics and conditions.
• Prepare reusable parts and inspect renewals for damage.
• Strip stator or apparatus without damaging core.
• Test rewound equipment according to EASA standards and record results.
